RBR Agency Christmas Card 2016
HP 4

Literacy is the key to all academic achievement. Which is why for the last couple of years we’ve been volunteering with the Hackney Pirates. A small but perfectly formed local charity that works with 9 – 14 year olds to make reading and writing fun.

So for last year’s annual Christmas card project, we thought we’d enlist their help…

We went to visit the Pirates at their unconventional learning space, The Ship of Adventures on Kingsland High Street. We told them a little bit about what we do as an advertising agency and briefed them to help us create a series of amazing Christmas cards.

From overly rotund Santas to stylish reindeers, the results were funny, inspirational and amazing. Pretty much how you’d describe everyone at the Hackney Pirates.

So much so, we were delighted to get the cards designed, printed and shared with everyone on our ‘nice’ list!

We even set up a market stall in Brick Lane, where we sold the cards along with other Hackney Pirates merchandise to help raise money and awareness for the charity and the amazing work they do.

It was an absolute pleasure working with the Pirates and we look forward to building on our relationship with the them in the future. To find out more about the Hackney Pirates and learn how you can help create more adventures in learning by volunteering or fundraising, go to: www.hackneypirates.org
