Shoreditch has no shortage of hotels trading on a creative reputation. What sets Hart apart is that its story isn’t borrowed. Long before it was a hotel, this address belonged to the Hart family, cabinetmakers who built things by hand for a living.
We developed True Artistry from that heritage, celebrating the craftsmanship that had always defined the site. The positioning gave Hart a creative story built on genuine provenance rather than borrowed character, balancing luxury with conviviality and a strong sense of community.
That thinking shaped the identity. The HART logotype is built from a bespoke typeface, with letterforms curved, tapered and thickened to echo the marks left by chisels and block planes, reflecting the site’s artisanal past. Alongside it sits a handwritten script that brings warmth and personality to the identity, balancing craftsmanship with the welcoming experience guests can expect.
Beyond the visual identity, we created the wider brand toolkit and launch assets, ensuring the idea carried consistently across every guest touchpoint.
