HOW WE WORK

Our whole ethos is based around doing things differently – from our LEAN, AGILE STRUCTURE (allowing our clients unencumbered access to a wide variety of marketing specialists) to our UNIQUE COMPANY ETHOS AND VALUES (with our hands-on management team leading from the front!)

OUR ETHOS AND VALUES

Continuing the Wizard of Oz theme, we ask our team and clients alike to:
“Follow your Head, Follow your Heart, Follow your Courage!”

Follow Your Head

Strategic rigour and a deep commercial understanding of our clients’ business underpins everything we do. We ask our team to help our clients to outsmart rather than outspend, creating channel-neutral big ideas that have a long life rather than a shelf life.

Follow Your Heart

We are passionate about the work we do and the transformative effect it can have on our clients’ businesses. We ask our team to be empathetic and collaborative to create a positive and enjoyable working environment which we believe helps us to get to the best work possible.

Follow Your Courage

We empower our team and our clients to think boldly and differently. We always ask our team to do the right thing, rather than the easy thing – which we believe is crucial to both our integrity as a creative agency and to the ultimate success of the campaigns we create for our clients.

OUR D&I MISSION:

“Harnessing our head, heart and courage, we are committed to equality and opportunity, ensuring no person gets left behind, irrespective of social status, race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, identity, neurodiversity, physical ability and expression. We stand against discrimination and through employment, mentorship and the work we create, we vow to open doors and break down barriers”

Here’s how we are working towards creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace and industry:

1. FIGHTING UNDER-REPRESENTATION

We have a 10-point Diversity, Inclusion and Social Mobility Strategic Plan, developed by our agency’s D&I Working Group. This plan ensures that we are set up for recruiting more candidates from a range of different backgrounds – we use a range of recruitment sources to allow us to do this.

We are one of the founding members of the Industry Club’s Marketing Debuts apprenticeship scheme and have hired 2 apprentices through the programme since it first launched.

We have also worked with Creative Equals as a part of an Equality Standard Audit we commissioned and are currently working towards achieving our accreditation.

Our leadership team are working on achieving their Diversity and Inclusion Essentials certification by the IPA so that we ensure that we lead with inclusion at the heart of our business and have a deep understanding of how to drive change in the industry.

2. GIVING BACK (PRO BONO WORK)

We’re passionate about supporting communities and charities that work to create a better, and more fair society – that’s why we’ve always been keen to share our skills and expertise through doing pro bono work for great organisations like Asylum Aid and Ambitious about Autism.

3. PASSING IT ON & BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS

We make sure to pass down our knowledge and use it to empower others, getting more people from different backgrounds set up for a career in the industry. As part of our commitment to inspiring the next generation of industry talent, our colleagues have been involved in mentoring with Create not Hate, and helping produce the first campaign, ‘Racist Dinosaur’.

Our colleagues also mentor for Brixton Finishing School and PRCA Race and Ethnicity Equity Board’s initiative, PRISM.

Our team also recently created a pioneering work experience programme in partnership with The Courtyard School for young people with special educational needs, giving students the opportunity to learn first-hand the process of producing a campaign, through creating a brilliant out of home campaign illustrating the benefits of neurodiversity.
