New Client: Skipton Building Society

Skipton Building Society has appointed creative agency Red Brick Road as its lead creative agency after a 3-way competitive pitch process.

Skipton is one of the UK’s largest Building Societies with over 1 million members and 82 branches. Skipton Building Society is part of the Skipton Group, which includes Connells, the UK’s largest estate agency and property services provider, Skipton Business Finance, Skipton International and Jade Software Corporation.

Since the start of 2023, Skipton Building Society has undergone significant change under new CEO Stuart Haire, including the creation of two distintive business units to focus on their home (mortgage) and money (savings and fincial advice) businesses.

Under this new vision, Red Brick Road has been appointed to provide holistic brand strategy and a new creative brand platform to re-launch the organisation’s underlying purpose – namely to help more people have a home, save for life ahead, and to support financial wellbeing.

Initially, the appointment will include a through-the-line brand re-launch and work to help to elevate a brand new membership proposition made up of a series of impressive new initiatives designed to help members get more from their money and being part of the society.

Commenting on the appointment, Nick Mortimer, CMO of Skipton Group, said “From the outset, Red Brick Road impressed us with their thorough understanding of our complex business, and they share our vision of the purposeful role we want to play in our members lives. Their breadth of expertise is compelling, from brand through to data, CRM and social media. We’re delighted to be partnering with them.”

David Miller, CEO of Red Brick Road said “As soon as we met the Skipton team it felt right – we’ve got big, shared ambitions for the brand and we can’t wait to use our creativity to relaunch their extraordinary products and services.”
